Set up Sal

Step one

Calendar: the source of truth

Google Calendar

Two-way sync, available today.

Apple Calendar

Two-way sync via iCloud.

Does that calendar exist yet?

No — create one for me. Sal makes a new calendar and shares it with the grown-ups. He'll name it “Kid's Sports by Sal”. Yes — I already have one. It's name is:

Required Give Sal permission

Clicking this will open a secure Google window. Please follow the prompts to log in.

Important: Google will ask you to allow Sal to see and edit your calendars — say yes, or the sync won't work. If Google shows tick-boxes rather than a single Allow button, make sure the calendar one is ticked before continuing.

Opens a Google sign-in window. We only add events; Sal cannot read your personal emails or existing calendar events.

Step two

Kids and teams

Write each team's name exactly as it reads in the app that runs it — that is how Sal finds the schedule and files the RSVP.

More children to add?

Step three

RSVPs and rides

Anyone who manages a schedule or does a drive. Sal shares the calendar with them and sends the week ahead by email.

Home address the kids travel from

Every drive time is measured from here, so include the town and state — not just the street.

Drive events are written on Saturdays, for the week coming up, once that week's practice and game attendance is settled — not the moment a team is added, so the calendar doesn't fill up with drives for a season's worth of games all at once.

RSVP logins

These platforms don't offer a "Connect" button like Google or TeamSnap's account link — a username and password is the only way in. Reading and setting RSVPs from here is coming soon; for now, saving a login just stores it.

Any password you give Sal is encrypted the moment you save it and kept in a managed secret store — never in Sal's database, never in an email, never shown back to you or the other grown-ups.

TeamSnap ONE

You're giving Sal your TeamSnap ONE login. Sal uses it only to read and set RSVPs, stores it encrypted, and you can remove it any time.

PlayMetrics

You're giving Sal your PlayMetrics login. Sal uses it only to read and set RSVPs, stores it encrypted, and you can remove it any time.

AdminSports

You're giving Sal your AdminSports login. Sal uses it only to read and set RSVPs, stores it encrypted, and you can remove it any time.
